66 Chiltern Place

LONDON

Designed by PLP Architecture, 66 Chiltern Place is a new 15-storey residential building incorporating 55 luxury apartments, retail facilities and a new townhouse near Marylebone High Street, London.

Replacing International House, the former 12-storey office building on the site which was constructed in the 1960s, the new development includes amenities such as a gym, private cinema, two meeting rooms, lounge/library with a bar (non-serviced) and a 24hr concierge.

The sustainable, low-energy design strategy and thermally-efficient envelope includes the detailed co-ordination of the structure and building services, photovoltaic panels on the roof and the integration of a UKPN substation.

Shadbolt were asked to assist with the project by manufacturing and supplying bespoke FSC certified crown cut European oak veneered FD30 fire performance and PAS 24 certified doors and doorsets. These were prepared to a carefully selected plank effect and white washed to a dead matt finish. Integrally matched crown cut American black walnut veneered panelling and doors were also supplied.
